2010

I think it's about time I update our blog! It's been a long time so I have a lot to cover but I'll make it short! Eric left for Afghanistan in Nov. of 2009 and we moved to Peachtree City to live with Joyce and her family while he was gone and also for me to finally finish school! Peyton and I had fun with the kiddos Gage, Ethan, and Sadie! Peyton got attached to Gage though. It was obvious he was her favorite :) Peyton and I went to visit Julie and her family in Feb. to see the new addition at that time, Will! We stayed out there for a few days and got to see some friends from the army as well! Our next trip was in April for Robert and Lacie's wedding in Florida. It was very short but it was nice to be able to attend it! Peyton was the cutest little girl there :) Of course I would say that though! It was nice but hard at the same time since Robert is Eric's best friend from Florida but I'm glad we went even with Eric gone. June was the best month of the year! I had started school back in Sept. of 2009 to finish my Cosmetology program. I finally graduated in June and the same day I took my final exam is when Eric flew in from Afghanistan for his R&R leave. He had prefect timing. I called his mom when I finished my exam and he had just called and she was on her way to pick him up so I rushed home to get Peyton ready to see daddy and all the kids got there Welcome Home signs out for him to pull up to! He was home for 17 days and we enjoyed EVERY minute we had! We were non-stop going to the Georgia Aquraium, A Braves game, Peyton's birthday party, We took a trip to Tampa, Florida to visit with Robert and Lacie, We also stopped by Savannah, We went swimming and golf cart riding :) needless to say we were non-stop going while he was home but we had a lot of fun and enjoyed it! Eric left on July 1st to go back to Afghanistan to finish his tour and after he left Peyton and I started packing and getting ready to move back into a house on post so we could get situated before he got home! We moved back to Savannah the middle of July and the first week of August I took my state boards for my Master Cosmetology license and I passed :) so I'm officially a Cosmetologist :) I should have my license in hand in the next week which is very excited. I'm so glad I finished it, I started the program back in 2005 and due to moving with the army wasn't able to finish! Eric could hopefully be home next month Oct. but it's still iffy. We know he has to be out of Afghanistan by Nov. 8th and thats the only def. thing we know right now. We are moving in March or April to For Carson in Colorado Springs, Co. We are sooooo excited about the move! We love it here in Savannah and it will always be one of my favorite places to visit but we are really wanting to find a place to settle down! If we don't find that place we'll move to Florida after we retire :) I'm excited to be closer to my west coast family! We are excited about our Vegas Vacation next summer and we look forward to visiting Texas! I'm still working on getting Eric to ok a California vacation but we'll see :) Well thats our story in short version for right now. I'll try to get pictures up in a little bit. May take me a while, a year is a long time to cover!

Sept. 12th, 2009

It's been a little busy at the Rabun house down here in Savannah~! We went to Florida last weekend to visit some friends and had a nice relaxing time. Monday we headed home and it was nice to get home and relax before Eric started back to work on Tuesday. We found out a little more information about his next deployment they are leaving in November between the 18th-21st! They also have been talking about staying 14months instead of 12months. I'm just hoping it goes by as fast as the first one, and I gotta feeling Peyton will help keep me busy~! I know it's early but I've already started getting ready to pack up and start moving some of my things up to PTC~! I know I still have 2 months but it will probably take me that long :) On a positive note Peyton is so funny these days. Her and her daddy have this thing were they wrestle and grawel at each other. She is always grawling at people in the store when I'm shopping and I get a little imbarrassed! She also has started dancing to music around the house!! I think she is going to be a dangerous child growing up! She's already daring and doing things to give me and her daddy a heart attack and she is only 14 1/2 months! She has been enjoying my walks that I have been doing. They've been kickin my butt, which is wonderful, but I look at her and she's just chilling and enjoying looking at the cars drive past or the trees as we walk by them! I'm not sure how to put pictures on here yet I'm still messing around with it so I'll put some up soon! That's all for now hope everyone else is doing great~!!

My first official post~!

So I decided to start a blog since all my sisters have one and it's easier then calling them all everyday to see whats new~! Plus since my friends and family are all over I hope this will help keep everyone up to date on me and my family! Our family is getting ready to take our last vacation to Florida to visit some friends before Eric deploys in November for Afghanistan. We are looking forward to our visit but every week that goes by means it a week closer to Eric leaving us. This will be Eric's second tour he was in Iraq for Sept. 2005-Sept. 2006. We're hoping that the year goes by fast for us. I'll be moving in with Joyce in PTC so I can be around more family and finish school. I'll do my best to update everyone with what is new at the Rabun Household :)
